14th March, 2018, ABU DHABI:  UAE-based conglomerate, ALFAHIM, has been confirmed as an official sponsor of Special Olympics IX MENA Games Abu Dhabi 2018 at a signing ceremony in Abu Dhabi today.

As part of the agreement the family-run ALFAHIM will provide 85 vehicles, made up of 70 Mercedes-Benz and 15 Jeep Grand Cherokee cars, to be used for 10 days by Special Olympics committee members, heads of delegations, VIPs and honored guests.

Mohammed Abdulla Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019; Peter Wheeler, CEO of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019; and Ahmed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of ALFAHIM.

The 85 vehicles include several luxury and high-performance models. The Mercedes-Benz models include four G-500, three E300 Avantgarde, two S500L AMG and three GLE43 AMG Coupe. The Jeep vehicles are all Grand Cherokee Limited editions.

Speaking after the signing, Al Junaibi said: “The official sponsors of Special Olympics IX MENA Games Abu Dhabi 2018 are vital in recognising the magnitude of the games and enforcing the pillars of inclusion and community. ALFAHIM is one of Abu Dhabi's most respected companies and it's a great partnership for Special Olympics UAE to secure.

“The Games will be a huge logistical operation and having the support of ALFAHIM in transporting our committee members, delegation heads and VIPs across the different venues will be invaluable to a smooth and successful event.”

At the ceremony, Al Fahim stated, “We are proud to be affiliated with the Special Olympics IX MENA Games and contribute to Abu Dhabi's vision of full inclusion of people of determination in all aspects of life.

“ALFAHIM's endorsement of this grand initiative is perfectly in line with our core value of Humanity and our corporate responsibility strategy which emphasizes the importance of motivating people of determination in pursuing their dreams and enhancing their skillsets. We are confident that such grand leaps by the country for disabled individuals will ensure further tolerance and compassion within our community”.
