    Passenger Demand Continues on Moderate Upward Path

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates - November 10, 2019:     The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for September 2019 showing that demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) climbed 3.8% compared to the same month last year, broadly unchanged from August’s performance. Capacity (available seat kilometers or ASKs) increased by 3.3%, and load factor climbed 0.4% percentage point to 81.9%, which was a record for any September.    “September marked the eighth consecutive month of below average demand growth.     September Air Freight Volumes Remain Weak

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates - November 07, 2019:   The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), decreased by 4.5% in September 2019, compared to the same period in 2018. This marks the eleventh consecutive month of year-on-year decline in freight volumes, the longest period since the global financial crisis in 2008.   Freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), rose by 2.1% year-on-year in September 2019.     Emirates champions inflight first: Seven Worlds, One Planet screens live on board

    First filmed tour in Arabic at the ISS

    Dubai, UAE, 24 October 2019:  Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) published a new video for the Emirati Astronaut Hazzaa AlMansoori whilst giving a tour aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
