Mattar Al Tayer congratulates His Highness the Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Mohammed bin Maktoum for leading the work in the pioneering club and achieving its lofty goals

DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, congratulated His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on the confidence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in appointing him as President of the Dubai Camel Racing Club.

His Highness said: “The issuance of a decree by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum regarding the Dubai Camel Racing Club confirms His Highness's interest and patronage of the sport of camel racing, which represents a heritage that we are proud of in the UAE. This move also confirms his keenness to consolidate the status of this sport in our society along with Dubai's position on the map of this sport locally, regionally and internationally,”.

The appointment of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as president of the club ensures the achievement of the great goals included in the decree at the level of preserving the legacy as well as enhancing the international status of Dubai and developing this sport continuously. This is a further testimony to the optimal investment of resources and the great support provided by the wise leadership to this sector,” His Highness stressed.

His Highness further added: “The next stage will witness the flourishing of new achievements in the sport of camel racing, and these will be commensurate with the support of the wise leadership, the consolidation of the gains achieved during the past period, and the development of the work system in line with the development witnessed in all areas of life.”

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, extended his fervent congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, for assuming leadership of the work of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, which occupies a great position at the national, regional and international levels.

His Excellency stressed that he was confident that His Highness will lead an important system to achieve major goals for the club at the level of heritage preservation and leadership, as well as at the level of organizing and developing local and international races.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer also congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum on assuming the presidency of the club's board of directors and working to achieve the pristine goals included in the decree issued by His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Council. The Executive Director of Dubai, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, His Excellency wished the designated Board of Directors to achieve more successes that translate into support for the wise leadership and the place of camel sport in our heritage and society.
