The Alpha School is an inclusive school where each child is valued as an individual and is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our Learning Support Team welcome children who have additional learning needs and develop individual plans to suit their requirements. For some, this will be a short-term plan to overcome a particular barrier, whilst for others there may be the need for ongoing support. Where children are identified, or have been assessed, as having an additional need, our team will work with the child, their parents and any outside agencies involved to develop an individual education plan (IEP). Wherever possible, we will support children to achieve within the classroom.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)As an international school, we understand that some of our children will speak little or no English when they join us. At The Alpha School, we celebrate this diversity, ensuring that, with support from our trained EAL team, all of our children will be able to access fully our curriculum, which is taught in English.

Gifted and Talented (G&T)G&T students are equally valued at The Alpha School, integrating ‘stretch and challenge’ strategies in the students’ learning experience. We apply active learning approaches that engage, challenge and inspire learners, combined with innovative use of digital technology in the classroom to extend the students, knowledge, skills and understanding. Inclusion is paramount.

Technology:  A full Apple School with a 1:1 iPad programme from FS1-Year 6, Alpha puts state-of-the-art technologies into all its classrooms and into the hands of the teachers and students. The deliberate and purposeful integration of technology facilitates collaboration to solve problems and authenticates learning by connecting students with people and places otherwise inaccessible. The Alpha children are innovators; finding new and creative ways to solve problems. Blended learning at Alpha balances the very best traditional pedagogical practices with technology integration to transform learning to a level otherwise unimaginable. 
Coding is taught as part of the IT curriculum from Year 3 and STEM and STEAM

We are committed to offering our students a wide-range of opportunities to develop confidence and skill in their individual interests.

ECAs: Our Enrichment and Extension Programme offers a wide variety of externally provided activities by expert coaches as well as exciting activities internally provided by our wonderful staff.  The range of offerings are carefully selected and varied Termly for Year 1 to Year 6.  Sessions run from 2:45-3:30 PM Monday and Wednesday. 

Accreditation: The Alpha School will be seeking BSO (British Schools Oversees) and BSME (British Schools Middle East) accreditation. 

Pre-School Visits:  The Alpha School is open and the Principal Mrs Rachel Cashin welcomes visits by prospective parents and students. All are invited to The Alpha School OPEN DAY on 26th August 2017 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM to see our facilities, meet our staff and partake in a multitude of fun-filled activities. Parents are invited to attend a presentation and Q&A session by our Principal Mrs Cashin.
