- DHA announces timings of health facilities during Eid Al Fitr holidays
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, June 13, 2018: His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has discussed preparedness of DHA facilities with top officials to ensure smooth delivery of health services during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
Additionally, he visited today Rashid Hospital’s Trauma and Emergency Centre to discuss health service delivery during the holidays.
Al Qutami was briefed about the round-the-clock shift system and other processes that have been implemented to provide patients with high-quality care.
Al Qutami highlighted that DHA staff are aware of their humanitarian duties and he thanked the staff for their dedication.
Al Qutami conveyed Eid Al Fitr greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses , Rulers of Emirates and Members of Supreme Council.
During the visit to Rashid Hospital, Al Qutami was accompanied by Dr Younis Kazim, CEO of Dubai Healthcare Corporation, Dr Fahd Baslaib, CEO of Rashid Hospital, Dr Mansour Nadhari, Medical Director of Rashid Hospital, Dr Moin Fikree, Medical Director of Trauma Centre and Dr Sara Kazim, Head of Emergency Section at Rashid Hospital.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced the working hours for all DHA hospitals, DHA administration, primary and specialist health centres and medical fitness centres during the Eid Al Fitr Holidays.
Timing of DHA hospitals: Hospitals and health centres will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual.
The emergency departments of all DHA hospitals- Rashid, Latifa, Dubai and Hatta will be functional round-the-clock on all days.
The Paediatric Walk-In Clinics at Latifa Hospital will operate as usual during weekends and public holidays.
Specialist clinics across the hospitals will remain closed.
Hatta Hospital family medical clinics will be open from 9 am to 7 pm on 14th June. On 15 to 17th, the clinics will be open from 7:30 am to 9 pm.
Timings of primary healthcare centres:
Al Barsha, Nad Al Hamar and Seniors’ Happiness Centre will function 24 hours on all days.
Al Lusaily centre will be open on 17th June from 8 am to 3 pm.
All other primary healthcare centres will be closed during the public holidays.
Medical Fitness Centres:
Medical Fitness Centres will be closed from 14th to 17th June.
Specialised healthcare centres:
Dubai Diabetes Centre, Thalassemia Centre and Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre will remain closed from 14th to 17th June.
The Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Centre will remain closed from 14th to 17th June; however, ultrasound services will be available on 17th June from 7:30 am to 14:30 pm.
