New smart services and website for the month of giving

Dubai, UAE, April 21, 2018: Human Appeal International in the Emirate of Ajman, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Board of Trustees, Member of Federal National Council has launched its Ramadan campaign under the name 'Make Them Happy' in the month of giving, as part of its efforts to establish the concept of humanitarian action and to set the heritage of the UAE which is derived from religious legacies. In its mission to raise the target revenue of charity projects to 57.5 million dirhams with a growth of 23% over the last year; out of which about 20 million dirhams have been distributed for Zakat, 5 million dirhams for orphans and families in need. Various health, education and social development projects have received 25 million dirhams from the target revenue. In addition, 4 million dirhams were given for Fast Breaking (Iftar), 1 million for Eid Dressing, 2 million for Zakat Al Fitr and 500 thousand dirhams for Food Donation.
This arrived after the launch of the Ramadan campaigns which was organized by Human Appeal International on Thursday 19th at the Medar Hall in Ajman Saray Hotel, in the presence of Directives and Heads of Government Departments and Representatives of the Local and International media. The HAI announced the details of the Ramadan campaigns, as well as the launch of new smart services and its new institutional identity.
The launch of the campaign highlights the strategies adopted by the Human Appeal International to cover all charitable projects during the holy month of Ramadan which includes four main projects -Zakat Al Fitr, Eid Dressing, Iftar and Food Donation.
His Excellency Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi said, “Following the instruction of H.H Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, the Ruler of Ajman, Member of Supreme Council and under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince, the Human Appeal International was able to enjoy a distinguished position and presence locally, regionally and internationally in the field of humanitarian and charitable work since its establishment in 1984 to this day. Through its effective contribution to improving the conditions of the needy, orphan care and families in need, in addition to its prominent role in implementing social development projects inside and outside of the country in various fields such as education, health, economy, disaster relief, war and refugees around the world; HAI is providing all available means to ensure the satisfaction, happiness and well-being of our people and others.”
His Excellency also praised the pioneering position achieved by the Human Appeal International inside and outside of the country and its continuous efforts to sustain the development and happiness of the communities. Also, he pointed out that its efforts to promote philanthropic concepts, aims to raise the level of revenues of its charitable projects during the year of 2018 by 23%, or about 232 million dirhams, in the harmony of UAE society ethics which was established by its founding fathers.
His Excellency the Chairman of Board of Trustees mentioned that the value of charitable projects was implemented during 2017 by an amount of 194 million dirhams and the share of the Ramadan campaigns was 46.5 million dirhams.
He added, 'Giving is one of the features of the Emirati society. It is a well-established approach that generations have passed through decades. And there is no doubt that the best time to provide alms, help the poor and needy in order to draw a smile on their faces is the month of Ramadan. And in the context of this trend, Human Appeal International is keen to commit to launch its Ramadan campaigns during the month of Ramadan every year, embodying the most beautiful meanings of solidarity, brotherhood and compassion among our people.
His Excellency Khaled Abdul Wahab Al Khaja, Executive Director of HAI said, “HAI’s approach and plan is to use the latest technology and employ it in the implementation of the Ramadan campaign projects for the current year in order to provide the best services to the targeted people inside and outside of the country. In accordance with the directives of wise leadership, the smart system of HAI was launched for the first time in the country taking into consideration the objectives and aspirations of HAI using modern technologies to invest them in the field of institutional and charitable business, reflecting the quality of performance and services provided.”
This smart system facilitates the work of the employees in collecting donations and increases their performance. The automated coupons make the collection movement easier and more reliable in dealing with the donator.
He added, “The adoption of this smart system comes within the framework of the directives of H.H Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince, to continue the transformation towards smart governments in the United Arab Emirates, with the aim of fostering a culture of innovation and enhancing it as a competitive advantage that contributes to the process of sustainable development, which includes various sectors and institutions in the country and distinguish them in various fields.”
Khaled Abdul Wahab Al Khaja also said: 'At HAI, we are seeking to be the first to introduce new and unique ideas in the field of charitable work, which led us to launch the new smart system, which will be used for the first time in the country, in a step that will be followed by many other steps in the use of modern technology within scope of charitable work.”
The Executive Director of HAI explained that the goal of the project is to record movements of the donations in the system immediately at the time of occurrence, providing a safe transaction. In addition, to provide accuracy of monitoring, auditing and administrative supervision of operations as well as financial reports showing the fund balances at any time, and to know the amount available with the delegate in a moment electronically. Al Khaja noted the presence of more than twenty points of collection in the markets, including Rumalia association, Safeer Mall in Al Nuaimiya and Rak Mall.
After long-time use of paper coupons to market its projects, today HAI is accredited with launching the smart system to offer electronic coupons, which the user sees on the screen and can choose the suitable way to donate saving time, effort and the environment by reducing the use of paper.
Al Khaja also pointed out that HAI has adopted its advertising plan for the Ramadan campaigns, which includes audio and visual media channels, social media and external advertising in the most important sites that witness a large number of audiences to cover all segments of society and to inform them about the most featured HAI Ramadan projects.
In addition, HAI has announced the launch of its new website (www.ramadan-hai.ae) for the implementation of the Ramadan campaign project 'Make Them Happy' in the month of giving, which can be used to send donations and Zakat funds by using SMS, bank transfer or electronic payment. It also allows the public the opportunity to share charitable activities with their friends on social media to motivate them to do good through donations and support for the needy.
The Human Appeal International has programmed an application that is available for smart phones and is characterized by its ease and simplicity of use. Customers can access this web application on their devices via the Android and IOS systems, in order to interact directly and quickly with the HAI's efforts and charitable activities.
The vision and strategy of HAI stands on the progressive development witnessed by various sectors in the country using modern systems and methods of work, advanced electronic equipment and technology in the charitable and humanitarian work sector. Moreover, HAI recently launched a new institutional identity, which identifies the organization's identity, functions and origins.
The new report provides a detailed description of the HAI logo, it symbolizes the limitations of its usage with publications, as well as the illustrations and visual standards adopted for the design and processing of these publications, with the possibility of benefiting from the specifications of the use of colors, font patters and others.
In this regard, Al-Khaja, Executive Director of HAI, explained that under the new identity directory, the organization is defined as a global humanitarian charity of public interest, which seeks to delight and develop societies through the implementation of charitable humanitarian projects.

It is noted that HAI holds an advisory status in the United Nations economic and social council and on a permanent membership in the World Islamic Council for advocacy and relief in Cairo. Additionally, an observer in the Governors’ Board of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); as well as being a Member of International Council of Voluntary Organizations (ICVA) with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and UN World Food Program (WFP).
